Our Barbes residency has a brand spanking new time! You early birds can get your beauty rest and still catch a set or two of our renditions of forgotten 20s & 30s chestnuts...
Our upcoming shows
Well this promises to be a hoot! The first of four shows on the last Sunday of the month that we will share with Pat Irwin (of the Raybeats and the B-52s) and the great Sasha Dobson. The show starts at 4, with Pat doing some solo material, and then morphs into Sasha's set at 5pm (with Daria on bass) and then a Ponies set at 6pm, to be followed by Pat, Sasha and Daria playing some killer old instrumental tunes as a trio. (And maybe a B-52s number!)
Hey all you earlybirds! Starting in May we will be playing at 8pm instead of 10pm, which means you can come see us play and still get your beauty rest.
So happy to be back at Superfine, home of the greatest pork chop in Brooklyn and the cutest and most charming staff like, ever!
Barbes is our favorite hang in Brooklyn. The first place we ever played. The venue we've played most...we're pretty comfortable there. Things could get weird.
It's happening. We're finally sending our baby into the world, like officially! To celebrate, we've invited all our friends & collaborators to play with us at The Slipper Room. There will be vibraphone, singing saw, guitar, percussion, and of course, glockenspiel! Tickets HERE.
I'm so excited to bring the fellas to Beacon, the town I have fallen in love with and now call home! Quinn's is a special venue with great sound, delicious homestyle Japanese food, and a cozy vibe. January 9th is also Second Saturday in Beacon, so there will be plenty to do all around town. With J. Walter Hawkes - trombone/ukulele/vocals; Andrew Hall - bass; Russ Meissner - drums.
We've played Barbes more than any other spot in the world. Come join us for our monthly hang at this little gem of a venue and find out why!
We are thrilled to be a part of this special event at the Bell House, curated by our pal and sublime songstress, Sasha Dobson! Other featured performers are Pat Irwin, Corn Mo, Todd Carter, Dred Scott, The Tall Pines, and DJ Nappy G! It will be an eclectic and exalted evening; truly A Night To Remember. Tickets here.
Barbes is our favorite local hang, and this month we're joined on piano by special guest Jon Dryden, all the way from Aptos, CA! Hope to see you there...
Barbes is out home base, our happy place. We'd love to see your face!
You can find us here every month! Same Pony-time, Same Pony-channel...
Brought to you by Beacon Music Factory and Scenic Hudson, this lovely and free outdoor concert series was one of the highlights of 2014 for us! So we're doing it again. The Foundry Dock Park setting is incredible, right on the banks of the Hudson River, just steps from the Metro-North station in Cold Spring. Bring a picnic! Details here.
We'll play as a trio at this cute spot in Greenpoint. Great food, nice folks!
We love playing at Superfine! Come join us for farm fresh fabulous food and fun.
This party is right up our (Tin Pan) Alley! Where vintage clothes, classic cocktails and tunes from the 20s and 30s conspire to turn your evening into a jazz age dream come true, Club Wit's End hosts this monthly event at Flute. Co-sponsored by the Dorothy Parker Society, the drinking club with a book problem. How can you go wrong?
We're playing the 3rd Sunday of each month at this lovely little restaurant. The food is excellent and the vibe is mellow.
Barbes is our home base, our happy place. Come down and show your face!
